Design Together Now

Design Together Now is the cultural programme of Circolo del Design that in 2022 investigated, online and offline, design as a tool at the service of the new and emerging need for community, a feeling that has changed and has been renewed as a result of the experiences that the community has faced in recent years and of whose effects are clear today.

In this time of individual and social vulnerability, isolation and prolonged restrictions, the fear of forced proximity, and the prolonged absence of shared sociality have ingrained new feelings and habits that we now find ourselves grappling with, transforming our sense of community, which is nourished by affections, bonds, actions, and narratives. Today more than ever, moreover, conflicts near and far are challenging the boundaries of a broader concept of belonging, sharing, and collectivity.

Projects, professionals, and experiences that have used design tools to build spaces, services, processes, and visions that respond to the needs of evolving communities will be the focus of the Circolo del Design's cultural programming.

The Design Together Now cultural project has developed into a calendar of online and offline meetings consisting of: 9 talks, 3 exhibitions, 2 workshops for children, a 2-day conference and 1 summer school.
