Guided tour of the exhibition and the Teatro Regio in Turin

L’attività inizia al Circolo del Design con una guided tour of the exhibition The Engineer and Margherita: The City of Infinite Theater, accompagnata dai curatori del progetto Archivi d’Affetto. Attraverso materiali d’archivio, fotografie, documenti e testimonianze, The exhibition recounts the extraordinary Turin theatre season of the 1990s starting from the double staging of The Makropulos affair by Karel Čapek, signed by Luca Ronconi.

At the end of the visit, the route continues towards the Royal Theatre of Turin per scoprire uno dei luoghi più importanti della vita culturale cittadina. La visita partirà da un’introduction to the history of theatre, dal Regio settecentesco distrutto dall’incendio del 1936 fino all’edificio moderno progettato da Carlo Mollino. Il percorso continuerà attraverso i foyer, con un approfondimento sull’architettura di Mollino, per poi affacciarsi alla room and to the stage che osserveremo da dietro un cordone di sicurezza. La visita proseguirà quindi nei theater basement, where we will be able to access some areas such as the tailoring room, the control room, the ballroom and the Little Royal.
